How it works

You choose the job. You apply. That is the whole model.

In short

You find a job advert on this site, you read it, and you apply on that advert. Your application goes to the employer who placed it, and to nobody else. Registering for alerts is optional and free. Employers pay to advertise here. Work-seekers are never charged anything, for anything.

The four steps

  1. Find an advert

    Browse care and driving adverts by role and by area. Nothing is hidden behind an account, and nothing needs registering before you can read a job in full and apply to it.

  2. Register for alerts, if you want them

    Tell us which kinds of work and which areas interest you, and we email you when an employer advertises something that fits those choices. It is an email about a job advert. It is a notification, not an introduction.

  3. Apply on the advert itself

    When you decide a job is worth applying for, you apply on that advert. That is the only point a CV is asked for, and it is asked for against that one named vacancy.

  4. The employer replies to you

    Your application lands with the employer who placed the advert. They arrange the interview, they make the offer, and they employ you. We are not in that conversation and we take no part in their decision.

What we do, and what we never do

This is the part worth reading properly, because it is the difference between this site and the kind of business people assume it is.

What we do

  • Publish job adverts placed by employers.
  • Email you when an advert matching the categories and areas you chose is published.
  • Send your completed application to the employer of the advert you applied to.
  • Publish local workforce data so you can see what the job market looks like where you live.
  • Delete your application details on a schedule, automatically.

What we never do

  • Decide which people an employer gets to see, or rank anyone.
  • Put anybody forward for a job they did not personally apply to.
  • Send your details or your CV to a second employer, for any reason.
  • Let an employer browse registered people. The register is not readable by them.
  • Charge a work-seeker a penny, at any stage, for anything.

AceLeads Jobs is a job advertising board. We are not a recruitment agency and we do not select, shortlist, match or put anyone forward. You choose the job, you apply to the employer, and your application only ever goes to them.

Your details, in plain terms

  • Registering stores your email address, the categories and areas you picked, and a record of the exact consent wording you agreed to and when.
  • Applying stores your name, contact details and CV against that one vacancy, and sends them to that employer.
  • A CV is never asked for at registration. CVs commonly contain health, disability or ethnicity information, which carries additional protection in law, so it is collected only when you have chosen a specific job.
  • Application details are deleted on a schedule by an automated job, rather than when somebody remembers to do it.

Where the local figures come from

Area pages carry real published data for that local authority, not a national number with a place name attached. Where there is no published figure for a role in an area, there is no page for it. That is a deliberate constraint: a page with nothing local to say about a local job market should not exist.

Questions people ask before registering

Do I have to register to apply for a job?

No. Every advert is readable and applicable without registering. Registration exists only so you hear about new adverts by email, and you can unsubscribe from every one of those emails with the link in it.

Who sees my CV?

The employer who placed the advert you applied to. A CV is requested at application stage only, against one named vacancy, and there is deliberately no way in this system for it to reach anyone else.

Will an employer contact me out of the blue?

Not through us. Nothing you enter when registering is readable by an employer, so nobody can approach you off the back of it. An employer only ever hears from you when you have applied to one of their adverts yourself.

Does it cost anything?

Not for a work-seeker. Employers pay to advertise. Charging a work-seeker for work-finding services is an offence under the Employment Agencies Act 1973, which is a good part of why this promise is on the page rather than in the small print.

How do I stop the alert emails?

Use the unsubscribe link in any alert. It works immediately and it does not ask you to log in or give a reason. Your email address is then suppressed, so it stays off the list even if it is entered again later.
