HGV class 1 driver jobs in Leeds

Articulated work belongs to the freight transport by road industry. The 2024 Business Register and Employment Survey counted 1,500 employee jobs in it across Leeds, 0.3% of the 503,000 employee jobs the survey records in the area.

That is the shape most artic drivers would expect: full-time work with part-time hours around the edges.

Across the 153 areas in England the middle is 900. Next to Leeds in that order sit East Riding of Yorkshire at 1,750 and Bradford at 1,250.

On the separate business register count of freight transport by road workplaces, Leeds ranks 2nd of the 15 areas in Yorkshire and The Humber. The middle across Yorkshire and The Humber is 295, against 510 in Leeds. Across the 153 areas in England the middle is 200. Next to Leeds in that order sit Doncaster at 745 and North Yorkshire at 395.

None of this counts adverts. It counts 1,500 jobs and 510 workplaces that already exist in Leeds, which is a different thing from what is open to apply for today.
